From this year, Indian Society of Nephrology members will be able to vote for ISN office bearers online.
- Go to http://isn-india.org/templates/election.php
- You will be presented with a login screen. Login using your isn-india.org username and password.
- In case you are not a life member of the Society, you will see an error message and cannot proceed to vote.
- Some ISN members have self-registered without giving their membership number, and hence may not be recognized initially by the system as a member. However, we have their records in the database.
- If you are a life member and believe that you should be allowed to vote, please contact admin@isn-india.org with your name, membership number, email, mobile no and address details to receive authorization.
- After successful login, you will be presented with a screen that has the names of candidates. Please select candidates of your choice in bot the categories by clicking the button next to their name. If you want to see brief bios of the candidates, please go to http://isn-india.org/isn_elections__brief_bios_of_contestants
- After you have made the selection, click on "Vote Now"
- You will be taken to the next page that shows your selections and will asked to confirm the choices. If you think there is a mistake and you need to change the selections, click on Edit, otherwise click on Confirm to proceed.
- You will then be taken to the final confirmation page, which will once again give you an opportuniy to review your choices. Once you are satisfied with your choices, click on "Submit" to register your vote. You can go back to Edit (if you want) in which case you proceed through the previous two steps again.
- Wait a moment after clicking submit, this will successfully submit your vote and you will be presented with a Thank You page that will show your choices.
- Once you have voted, your username will no longer work for the election module but you will be free to use the ISN-INDIA website as before.
Paper ballots have been mailed to ISN members and if you have chosen to use it for voting, it will be valid and counted. you may not choose to vote online.
However, even if you have sent in your paper ballot, you can still vote online. In this case, your online vote will be counted and the envelop bearing the paper ballot will not be opened.
I am aware that many ISN members may not be aware of their username/password. in this case, please send an email to admin@isn-india.org with your LM number, full name, address and mobile number to and your username/password will be emailed to you within 24 hours.
This information cannot be mailed to anyone other than the member to whom it belongs.
